On November 21, 2015, we opened Pole Vault Carolina’s indoor facility! We had 6 athletes, 10 poles, no money, and a dream. We signed a 90-day lease to get us through the winter, a time when we usually canceled 60% of our practices due to weather. Seven years later, we are home to 33 state champions, and 72 national qualifiers. We have coached 40 athletes into collegiate athletics, and numerous vaulters to personal success. Sixteen athletes competed in the Pole Vault Carolina Decathlon last weekend and truly wowed us with their tenacity. Fifteen of those athletes had never attempted a decathlon before.
