Pole Vault Carolina’s Indoor Facility
November 2015

We see our work as building confidence through pole vault.

In the winter of 2015, this was a challenge.  We were still training outside and the frequent rain forced us to cancel many practices.  In the month of February we only had 6 practice sessions!   We started looking for a warehouse that could accommodate a pit and help our few athletes perform well at the state meet.

On November 21, 2015, with the help of commercial real estate broker Vandan Gandhi, we held our first indoor practice at our current location.

Fast forward to 2023 and we have coached over a thousand athletes including 96 national qualifiers; 37 state champions, and 42 athletes recruited into college having earned over $1MM in scholarship.

Our landlord, Mr. William Love, worked with us in many ways, especially through the pandemic. The accomplishment of our athletes would not have been possible without his flexibility.

The club is not a building but a community. Pole Vault Carolina belongs to all of us.  Every athlete who jumped here; every parent who entrusted us with the development of their vaulter; every high school coach who saw the value in what we do and supported their athletes training with us; every college coach who recruited a vaulter to be a part of their team; everyone who supported the athletes by ringing a cowbell and supporting on social media.

Pole Vault Carolina, we are committed to excellence, yours and our own, and we look forward to what we can bring to you, and to how you will shape the club for future athletes.
