The 2022 Outdoor Season came to a close this weekend with the NCISAA and NCHSAA State Championships. Pole Vault Carolina athletes participated in 8 contests and secured 5 state titles, 1 second place finish, 2 third place finishes, and 1 fourth place finish! Julianna won the state meet in the pole vault, and placed third with her teammates in the 4 X 100! Two days later she was named MVP at the Durham Academy Awards Night for her contributions to the track team this season!
Jon Horn won gold in the pole vault and long jump, and silver in the 110m hurdles and 300 m hurdles at the NCISAA Division III State Championships! Jon PR’d in the vault with a massive jump at 14’6″. He is currently the highest ranked pole vaulter across all classifications in North Carolina. Thanks to all the points Jon scored (36!) the Burlington Christian team placed second overall in the Division III championships!
