Pole Vault Carolina introduced me to the sport that would change my life. The skilled coaching at PVC opened the door for me to compete at the D1 university of my dreams. Coach Jose has created a safe and welcoming environment that fosters sportsmanship, friendship, and success. PVC is my second family and any athlete who is a member of PVC would agree with me.

Pole Vault Carolina has helped me develop my skills as an athlete, but much more importantly PVC has been a huge part of my development and growth off the track. Vaulting with PVC has allowed me to create lasting relationships that I will value long after my athletic career is finished. Jose and the entire PVC Family created an environment for me to reach far beyond my goals and for that I am thankful!

As a coach for 37 years I can really appreciate the time, effort, money, and passion that Jose and Adele have put into the club.  The way Jose relates to the kids, the structure that the program provides, the support that parents showed, and the support that the kids showed for each other is something really special.

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the incredible training session you provided for Parkwood athletes this past Saturday. As an Olympian, I have had the pleasure of being trained by and associating with some of the finest coaches in the U.S. However, I can say without reservation that I have never before witnessed such a dramatic transformation as I experienced at your clinic. In just a few hours, you had each athlete vaulting a full 2 feet higher than their previous best. Amazing! Your ability to connect with young athletes and infuse confidence in them where it was previously lacking coupled with a thorough knowledge and systematic approach to teaching the pole vault creates truly remarkable results. My athletes came back charged up and inspired to train harder, compete smarter, and set the bar higher for themselves.

Three years ago with Stephen never having even thought of pole vault would we have imagined he would make it to the state 4A indoor championships! Thanks to God for leading us in this direction and to Jose R San Miguel for his coaching.

Leigh and I are extremely grateful for the time and effort you have taken with Cody. He is excited about some of the opportunities and doors you are opening for him. I just wanted to thank you for all you are doing and the interest you have taken in Cody.

Thanks Coach! You have helped me when I thought the possible was impossible. And gave me a helping hand when I was at my lowest.. You have been a blessing and I truly admire you for all that you have done! There is not a single moment when I don’t give you thanks when people ask who coached me in high school! We went from having no one to help Harrison, to having the best, most dedicated coach in the state! I only wish that he had been with you for longer! He grew so much and learned SO much from you. We can never thank you enough for what you have done! I know that he has had the best coaching he can possibly have-so that’s why I worry about college! I am so thankful that he can still talk to you! … It was such a special time, and we owe it all to you!! Especially those indoor meets-where regular coaches wouldn’t have even taken the kids to!… You’re the best!!
