Sessions

Learn more about the sessions we provide: Beginner’s Clinics for the starting athlete; Open Practice Sessions for the experienced athlete; and pole vault meets. You can also learn about our payment plans.


Training Options

We provide training in the pole vault.


Open Practice Sessions – Pole Vault

These practices are for athletes who have graduated from the Beginner’s sessions. The practice includes speed development, hurdles and mobility drills, plant and swing mechanics, and gymnastics drills. Participants will receive encouraging, constructive feedback to improve their vault.

Pole Vault Session Times & Registration

These sessions are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8 pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:30 pm; and Sundays from 11:00-12:30 pm. Please register on the Calendar page of the website or through the Pole Vault Carolina app.

Cost

$40 per pole vault session, or $37 with the 10 Session Plan.

Beginner’s Clinics

These clinics are designed for the beginning vaulter, or the athlete who has been away from the sport for awhile. In a positive teaching environment, athletes will be led through dynamic drills that are the foundation of the vault. Athletes will complete jumps bending the pole by the end of the session. 

Session Times & Registration

Beginner Camps are held most Sundays from 3:00-4:30 pm. Register on the Calendar page of the website or through the Pole Vault Carolina app.

Cost

$40, or $37 with the 10 Session Plan.


Meets

Pole Vault Carolina hosts meets throughout the year available to athletes of all levels.  During the season, our meets are sanctioned by the NCHSAA.

Olympic Level Clinics

One of the best things about this sport is that those at the top are accessible to those whom they inspire.

In the past we have hosted World Champion Brad Walker; Olympian April Steiner Bennett; Olympic Gold (2020) and Silver (2024) Medalist, Katie Moon; 2024 Olympic Bronze Medalist, Alysha Newman; and Olympic Medal coaches Jim Bemiller, Scott Kendricks, and Bob Phillips.

Payment Plans

We offer the following payment plans: 

  • The 10 Session Plan, athletes purchase 10 sessions at a time for a discounted price per session of $37. This plan never expires. 
  • The GUARANTEED3 Plan and The GUARANTEED2 Plan, for those athletes wanting a guaranteed spot in the same sessions each week.
    • GUARANTEED3 Plan price per session fee is $35
    • GUARANTEED2 Plan price per session fee is $37
  • Athletes have the option to Pay by the Session at the drop in rate of $40. 

Membership Fee

Pole Vault Carolina is a membership club. A membership fee of $150 will be assessed to every new athlete who attends pole vault practice, at the time of the second booking. The membership fee cannot be prorated.
